Congrats Cait soon to get then exactly just what place have u picked?
Littleredhead a good option for the hen do in the west coast will be galway for me – in fact il prob have mine there but if u are goin in a large group be cautious to get into pubs in smaller teams just as if they kno u really are a hen u could possibly get turned away.
As much as i love sligo i wouldnt suggest a hen here! Plus galway comes with an airport where u can travel in from a good locations that are few
Our company is located in manchester and hopin to maneuver home quickly but have always been finding it hard to make any plans bein up to now away – the net is my saviour and e-mail my best friend (therefore sad) lol!
Im up in Northern Ireland. I have hitched in Belfast in 25 times.
Ooh, many thanks for the advice – but can we ask; why can you perhaps perhaps not recommend Sligo? Will it be given that it’s quiet and small? If therefore, that is precisely what i am trying to find!
I must say I want somewhere we could hire a cottage nearby the coastline, go with long coastline walks and discover a lovely cosy but lively pub, instead of pubs or groups, for the nights!
I understand it appears actually stupid and like We be seduced by every thing We see on television, but i’d like the sort of Ireland the thing is in movies like PS i enjoy you – with a lot of rurally goodness and traditional music. H2B’s parents are Irish (though he is never resided there) and we also’re having a couple of nods to this in the marriage (Irish ceilidh rather than a disco. Can not wait! ) as both of us are actually taken with Irish music, dance and tradition. Let me stick to the theme to my hen evening too!
I’M Irish and residing in Cheshire. Perhaps not planning to get hitched in Ireland but I would personally imagine we are going to have celebration for family and friends who cant make.
Littleredhead – I agree with Bacon to be, Galway is just a great spot to get and you will frequently find trad music etc in tiny pubs and its own from the coastline as well. Possibly set off a little further towards Clifden after which you’ve got the option of going into Galway in the event that you have a little bored stiff or even for materials.
Stunning area of the national nation however.
It really is tiny not a lot of clubs which is the reason why i wouldnt reccomend it for the – but coastline wise we do possess some gorgeous ones esp aughris head beach that has a beach that is small by having a thatched roof. Then again u are very far out of anythig else actually – galway offers an excellent mixture of both great beaches great environment and if just what u are searching for is really a ceili I quickly would reccomend Taffes club on store st! Constantly a fantastic musical organization here with a good environment
If u lookup sligo beaches there maybe some more – strandhill is really a lovely destination with a number of pubs (likewise have trad music too) and breathtaking coastline (really where mr bacon proposed. )
Hope that can help
I am A irish bride, surviving in Manchester atm, but going back once again to the north coastline in about 30 days approximately (originally from Lisburn), H2B offers their dream job there – yey!! Wow, many thanks for all of the advice, particularly considering I completely hijacked your thread! I obtained overexcited and spoke to my MOH about this; we are really now considering Sligo and County Cork. Not the populous town it self, but someplace more rural when you look at the county.
I will be from Sligo, surviving in London and having married in Italy i realize exactly what your going through with perhaps maybe perhaps not being here to organise etc. Can be very stressfull. Where have you been marrying and where is reception??

Littleredhead – if you should be taking a look at cork clonakilty is just a fantastic lcoation with some lovely restaurants and pubs with real time music plus some great beaches into the vicinity
MrsMac2010 – i will be additionally from Ireland (carlow) located in London and having married in Italy; o)
LittleRedHead -I got hitched in Cork City October that is last!!
We married within the North Cathedral and had our reception in Blarney. Location-wise it is superb rather than too much through the town either. You could have your picture’s taken at the castle helping to make a backdrop that is lovely allowing. Day unfortunately, we weren’t able to take advantage of this as it rained (unusually for Ireland!! ) on our wedding!
We had been right straight right back in the place on for our anniversary dinner, and just happened to glance at their wedding brochures sunday. They will have some fantastic packages there which appear extremely value that is good money.
They likewise have a hotel that is sister Bunratty, Co Clare which will be simply gorgeous! We invested our vacation here following a disaster that is slight the first resort we booked, as well as couldn’t do sufficient for all of us!
Hope it will help. Email me personally if you need further assistance or info.
BTW – should you choose to visit Galway, DON’T go directly to the Galway Bay. That has been where we had a tragedy using the available spaces, along with to go to Bunratty. The ‚G‘ is more preferable IMO.

Hi I’d my hen week-end at Lough Rynn a year ago, it really is therefore breathtaking, we remained when you look at the accommodation thats within the grounds, high grade accommodation. Had lunch in Lough rynn it was lovely, it was so cosy the way they have actually the split seating areas it’s like getting your very very very own family room, the major space for which you has your pre dinner drinks was lovely, they’d the christmas tree that is biggest up. Looking to return in 2010 for the very first anniversary and remain at Lough rynn. Enjoy all the prep for the wedding I happened to be on this kind of downer whenever ours had been over.
